Our story

We want to make psychology accessible to all children and young people!

We are convinced that psychology should be accessible to everyone – and in a way that is truly understood. That's why we decided in 2023 to combine our psychological knowledge with educational methods and to offer psychological education in a barrier-free way and in plain language. In December 2023, the non-profit association Stabil im Kopf – Mental Health for Young People was founded for this purpose.

Since then, together with committed organisations, teachers and school leaders, we have been working to strengthen access to psychological education in compulsory schools and to bring the mental health of children and young people more into focus. In our workshops they learn concrete strategies to cope with crises and challenges and to enter new stages of life empowered.

As the result of an 18-month research process, we also developed ClassPilot, our digital conflict coach, in early 2025. It supports teachers in recognising, addressing and preventing conflicts in everyday classroom life at an early stage. In this way, we relieve both students and teachers and make a further contribution to promoting mental health in the school context.

01

Our vision

Our vision is a world in which psychological education is as natural for all children and young people as reading, writing and arithmetic, and in which they can lead a self-determined, fulfilled and healthy life.

02

Our mission

We help ensure that all children and young people grow up aware of their own needs and develop healthy strategies for dealing with challenges. Through targeted workshops, content and materials, we bring mental health more into society's focus and make psychological education accessible to all children and young people.

03

Our impact

By the end of the 2025/26 school year, our plain-language workshops will have already reached 1,220 Viennese students aged between 10 and 16. In our workshops, participants learned to read facial expressions, name feelings, and apply concrete strategies for dealing with fear and anger.

Since 2026, we have been an official partner of the Skills Builder Partnership and use the Skills Builder Universal Framework to measure our impact. The framework consists of eight essential skills with sub-steps that are tracked for individual learners.
